Our Mission & Vision
We bridge the gap between community spirit and sustainable infrastructure. Our mission is to provide every child in Buyuni with a safe, stable environment to learn and grow, fostering a future of self-reliance and academic excellence.

Who We Are
Jitegemee School Building Project (Charity Number: 1129229) is based in Northumberland, UK and Tanzania with a partner organisation in Milwaukee, US. The object of our organisation is to advance education of the children in Tanzania by the provision of a local primary school complex near the capital city of Dar es Salaam. Three trustees in England are responsible for fundraising and two Catholic Tanzanian Sisters provide guidance on the development of the project on site as well as being responsible for the day to day running of the project.
We are a coalition of local leaders, educators, and community members in Buyuni. Together, we manage every aspect of the project locally, ensuring that every brick laid and every shilling spent directly serves the mission of self-reliance for the next generation.
